The Quinault Indian reservation is located on the west coast of Washington State, on the Olympic peninsula, between the Pacific ocean and the Pacific Northwest Olympic mountains. The rivers and streams of the Quinault reservation have always been known to be some of the best fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. The Quinault River originates on the west side of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. The Anderson Glacier Ice Caves, the origin of the river. The North and East Forks merge several miles above Lake Quinault. The Quinault Indian Reservation extends from the Pacific Ocean to Lake Quinault. The 33 miles of the Quinault river on the reservation are home to 6 species of salmon and both summer and winter run steelhead. There are 2 hatcheries on the Quinault watershed.
